I’m currently freezing my fingers off in Tuscaloosa, AL where I’m playimg at the Bama Theatre tomorrow but as I’m in the Coffice (Starbucks) working, I figured I’d let you know a little about my upcoming stops on the tour.

I’m playing in Nashville at The Listening Room Cafe on the 16th. And make sure you note the time, the gig is as early as 4.30pm!

Then we’re heading to Memphis for The Folk Alliance International Conference where we’re doing three showcases. The conference is held at Memphis Marriott and you’ll be able to hear me sing and play on the following dates and times:

Wednesday, February 22 at 9:40
Thursday, February 23 at 8:00pm
Saturday, February 25 at 1:10am

Ur varje veckas skörd väljer vi ut tre låtar som bedöms av en expertjury som lägger varsin röst på sin respektive favoritlåt. Parallellt sker en omröstning på Musikplats Stockholms hemsida där alla lyssnare röstar fram sin gemensamma favorit. Tillsammans utser juryn och radiopubliken låten som vinner veckans ”Bäst i test”. I just got a great review in one of Sweden’s biggest morning papers, and the rest of the world is not late on following the trend. TOANWTS is appointed the prestigious title of “Album of the Month” on renowned music blog Bluesbunny

Perhaps her most interesting artistic choice however is the sound of the album this time around. Country flavoured sonic touches abound on many of the songs thus giving the album an underlying focus and, perhaps, an indication of her true intent.

Tour update February!

Sofia Talvik live on the Drivin' & Dreaming Tour

I’m two months into touring and it’s been a great experience so far. I have some really nice upcoming gigs that I wanted to share with you. These first few days of February I’m doing three shows in New Orleans, Louisiana. The first tonight at Neutral Ground Coffee House at 10pm, tomorrow February 2nd at Chickie Wah Wah at 8pm and on the 4th Fair Grinds Coffeehouse at 7.30pm. It’s my first time in New Orleans and all the shows are free admission so please come and see me!

Then I’m heading back north-east to Tuscaloosa where I have the privilege to be invited to to 2 concerts. One at the The Alabama Art Kitchen on February 10th, 7pm and one at the Bama Theatre on February 13th, 7.30pm. So if you want to give your sweetheart an early Valentines gift, taken him or her to one of the shows.

On Thursday the 16th I’ll be at The Listening Room Cafe in Nashville, TN doing an early show at 4.30pm.

So don’t miss out on these great opportunities to see me here in the States. You can see all my upcoming gigs here!

Today I’m releasing my 5th album “The Owls Are Not What They Seem”. Thank you everyone who pre-ordered the CD and to all my fans who pledged for the four EPs in L.O.V.E that preceded this album. (To make it clear for those of you who haven’t heard the EPs – this is a totally different production.)

I’m shipping all of the pre-ordered signed albums today. You who have pre-ordered will also get your download codes today. And for you who missed out on the physical release here’s some links to where you can listen. You will still be able to listen and purchase a download in any format you prefer here: Sofia’s music store.
