Katy gig rescheduled
We missed our gig in Katy, TX because of the tour bus breakdown, but I’m happy to announce that they let us reschedule to March 25th. So if you missed out on the Katy gig Tuesday, you’re welcome to come and see me on Sunday the 25th!
Space City Rock!
I missed out on my gig at the Super Happy Funland SXSW after party in Houston this week as my tour bus broke down in Austin, but Space City Rock blog did a really great write up for the gig. I hope people found out in time that I couldn’t make it. I’m playing March 25th at Dun Bros Coffee in Katy, TX instead if you want to come and see my show.
Nice write up in Austin Chronicle
I hade a great time as usual in Austin at SXSW. Here’s a nice little write up about my official showcase by Austin Chronicle:
Concert in Katy canceled
Still stuck in Austin waiting for our tour bus to get fixed so unfortunately the concert in Katy, TX tonight is canceled. The one in Spring, TX tomorrow should be on though. Hope to see you all there!
Tonight’s gig (Monday) canceled
I was hoping to do a fun post about SXSW today, but instead I’ll have to write to tell you that tonight’s gig at Super Happy Fun Land in Houston is cancelled because our tour bus broke down in Austin today. It’s in the shop now so the rest of the gigs in Houston should be on as scheduled. Guess you’ll have to tip me double or buy more CDs next time so I can afford some food after the mechanic took all my money
SXSW spotlight!
I just arrived in sunny Austin. After heavy rain in Dallas and San Antonio I was wondering if SXSW would rain away this year, but as soon as we drove into Austin, the sky was blue, the sun blaring and people were half naked on the streets. Just like it should be.
Nordic Spotlight had the good taste to check in with me to see what my SXSW schedule looks like, and here’s their interview with me!
Hypetrak also recommended my second play showcases at SXSW. Most of them you don’t need a wristband for so check out their guide here!
TOANWTS live in the US
I’m going to perform all the songs from my new album “The Owls Are Not What They Seem” live from different places in the US during my tour and put them up on YouTube. Here’s the first song from the album “Delusional”, recorded in Bossier City, LA.

Folking in Memphis
Last week I attended the Folk Alliance International Conference in Memphis, TN.
I spent a few hectic days attending seminars, networking and playing showcases. It was a lot of fun and we met a bunch of great people there that I hope to reconnect with further down the road. It was interesting to be totally surrounded by folkies for a while. I’ve always counted myself into the genre but haven’t quite been part of the scene if you know what I mean. Folk – being such a small genre in Sweden, I’ve always been a part of the pop scene anyway and that’s what I know so it was cool to see how the folk sceene thrives in the US.
Jonas took a bunch of pictures from the conference and you can see a selection here!
Feel free to tag yourself if you find yourself in any of the pictures.
I’ve been down with the flu for a week now, there were a lot of bugs circulating in the AC system at the hotel those days and I’ve heard a lot of attendees got sick. I’m glad to be (almost) well again though as I have some great gigs in Texas ahead of me.
Here’s the ones ahead:
Wednesday, 03/07 Lindale, TX Art of Coffee
Thursday, 03/08 Texarkana, AR Hopkins Icehouse
Friday, 03/09 Dallas, TX Opening Bell Coffee
Saturday, 03/10 San Antonio, TX G.I.G On The Strip
