Behind the scenes of ‘My James Dean’

As we were shooting the video for my single ‘My James Dean’ I was also busy shooting a ‘behind the scenes video’. You get to follow me around all day, from early morning getting ready with hair and make up ’til late night driving home. I would like to thank Åsa Östergren for the fab hairdo and make up, Swing i Swaben for letting us shoot the video there and ‘Sweet Emma and the Mood Swingers’ for looking awsome in the video. Worldwide album release!

I’m so excited to announce that my album “Jonestown” is being released in the US, Canada and Japan this fall! The release will be followed by a tour in the North-East so keep checking in here for updates about tour dates and other stuff!

New album 2009: Blog #7

Yet a day in the closet recording a new song. Each time I go in there I’m stunned over by how long it actually takes to do all the takes, chorus vocals and everything. I spend at least half a day just recording vocals and editing them. As you’ve already seen my tiny closet studio this is just a blog and no vlog, but maybe I should call it a mlog because here’s a sample of today’s song for you. It’s called “You plate your heart with gold” and I was inspired to write it after I heard Mason Jenning’s song “Which way your heart will go” and actually thought he sang “you plate your heart with gold”. It’s a song about people posing to be better than they are. They keep hurting others but pretend they have a heart of gold.

This preview is unmixed and a work in progress and will probably sound a lot different on the album when released.

New album 2009: Blog #6

Yes that’s right folks, no vlog this time but I’ve got something even better for you: some audio! I’ve been locked in my closet all day recording my song “My Bored Ol’ Heart” from scratch. The song will be featured on my upcoming album. Still just me and my guitar but here’s a shortened sample for you! Enjoy!
